Actually it probably was the same issue, just the latter part of this
problem, namely that Open Diretcory wasn't set to look to the local
accounts (stored in netinfo) in your case. It seems as if in the
10.3.9 update the Directory Access definitions can get munged
resulting in OD stores not being marked to be consulted.
Good point, Dan. I've got one other box (400MHz PCI graphics G4 -- yes,
yes, I know...) running MOSXS v.10.3.8 to upgrade, and once I've done
that, I'll test out everything against the known Cyrus and Apple
LDAP/Open Directory issues. If anything goes amiss, I'll look into it
for real and report to the list.
