Re: Xserve Hardware RAID Card?

Here is what I get when I do a system_profiler on my xserve with the RAID card installed:

PCI/AGP Cards:

    LSI,523:

      Name: LSILogic,raid
      Type: scsi-2
      Bus: PCI
      Slot: SLOT-2
      Vendor ID: 0x1000
      Device ID: 0x1960
      Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1000
      Subsystem ID: 0x4523
      Revision ID: 0x0001

I have no idea if it would work in your G5 PowerMac or not. I would think not since the supplied cables would probably not fit properly to attach to your SATA drives..

Hope that helps you,

~

Anyone know who makes Apple's build-to-order PCI RAID card?

I see that it is also available separately, and wonder if it would work okay in the G5 Powermac, with or without Server installed.
