Tiger & Fast User Switching

Fast User Switching is a nice feature, just not when both users need to be network users. Alas, I have two computers where that is exactly the case.

For Panther, the only way to make this work was to use NFS. I can't find anything in regards to Tiger on this, but does anyone know if we can use AFS instead? I *really* don't want to use AFS, every once in a while the "flat" file system causes things to be messed up.
