10.3.9 clients take 2-3 mins to mount documents folder

Hi

Have updated 2 client machines to 10.3.9. (servert still 10.3.8) and have found that they log in as normal but as soon a s I click on the documents folder in the dock or double click on the macintosh HD I get the spinning wheel and have to wait 2- 3 minutes for the documents folder to display. I went back to a 10.3.8 client and it brought the document folder up immediately.

Any suggestions as school is back in 2 days and I would like to know if I need to take them back to 10.3.8
