I guess my understanding of ACLs is far from clear. I thought they were
primarily a server function (yet again showing my reliance on marketing
rhetoric... ACLs only appeared on the server promo pages). If ACLs are a
part of Tiger client, shouldn't the Ownership & Permissions part of Get Info
look different? It seems completely unchanged...
In any event, if the only problem is that Retro doesn't backup/restore ACLs,
doesn't that mean I can successfully back up and restore, but will have to
do some chmods or something? In that case, the "must" in their statement
seems overblown. What am I missing?
