I guess my understanding of ACLs is far from clear. I thought they
were
primarily a server function (yet again showing my reliance on
marketing
rhetoric... ACLs only appeared on the server promo pages). If ACLs
are a
part of Tiger client, shouldn't the Ownership & Permissions part of
Get Info
look different? It seems completely unchanged...
This is not the first time (oh no, really not !) that Apple
introduces some functions that are only available through CLI on
client and with GUI on Server.
Expect updates to alternative GUI file browsers or users management
utilities to add these features to Tiger client soon.
