Hi all,
I just migrate from Panther Server to Tiger Server and followed the
(bad) migration istructions of the documenation but I can't get the
Mail server to work.
As the pdf file said, I backed up with ditto /var/imap and /var/spool/
imap of Panther Server. After having tiger server installed (erase
and install), I replaced those two folders of tiger server with those
I backed up from panther.
I then did a
sudo chown -R cyrusimap:mail /var/imap
and then a
sudo chown -R cyrusimap:mail /var/spool/imap
The migration guide went on saying to execute an "upgrade script"
with the command
sudo -u cyrusimap /System/Library/ServerSetup/SetupExtras/upgradedb
but it seemed to have done nothing...
The system logs says:
The users show in the Accounts tab of the Mail module in Server Admin
but if I click on one of them and click on Reconstruct the following
error appears in the Status area:
Reconstructing user info...
fatal error: can't read mailboxes file
What do you suggest to do?
