Title: Panther Clients using a Tiger ServerWe are in the process of upgrading our server to Tiger. Some of our clients are Tiger and some are Panther. Unfortunately, as soon as I switch a Panther client over to the Tiger server for LDAP, the clients cannot open up the directory service node for active directory. The error in the console is something like DSOpenNode() with an error of —14002. The Tiger clients work flawlessly however. When you go to try to unbind and rebind to the AD network on the Panther machines, directory services can’t even find a domain controller. The only way is to trash the directory services preferences and set everything up again, but the same problem will appear after the first restart. We are running a Windows 2000 AD network on the windows side. Has anyone else seen anything similar to this?
