Yes, our nominal network is Cisco based. But what I am saying is that a
PARTICULAR Cisco device is either the "from" or "to" hardware address in all
the alerts.

That had been the norm, I can't speak for now. That'll go on my list of things
to ask.

Is there a consensus that if portfast is not enabled that this kind of error
will tend to show up??
