Yes, we have this exact behavior. I walk over and hard restart it.

Regardless of how I do it (i.e command line, GUI, ARD) from time to time the Xserves will hang, forcing me to get my lazy ass out of the chair, walk 80 feet over to the machine room, and cycle the power.
