Re: OSX Server Pieces on Multiple Machines

Title: Re: OSX Server Pieces on Multiple Machines
It always amazes me when I walk in to a new client and they have pirated EVERYTHING. These are money making enterprises of ALL sizes. Yes large corporate facilities too. And then they ask me about downloading the newest versions of said software. The pirates usually come from the guy in the office that spends all day optimizing his connection for mp3 and porn downloads instead of doing what he is paid for.
I dissuade the client by saying that those application downloads are put there by hackers and organized crime groups that change the code a bit to get a back end into your system. I say that those applications can and will fail when you can least afford it and cost you more than the authorized version ever will.  When some smart mouth says that isn’t true I Google up some stories ask said wiseguy are you willing to pay for the damage when it a problem is discovered none has accepted the challenge yet.
