NOW the trouble is, when I *send* mail from there? it is trying to load /webmail/src/compose.php and i get THIS...
Action Canceled.
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. blaa blaa blaa.
I saw this:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107982
which sounds exactly like my problem. however, the solution did exactly nothing for me.
i tried enabling SSL, but i don't have a certificate (don't know if that's important) but when I try to restart the server, Web won't run. when i turn OFF SSL for that domain (under Security) then Web starts up fine. still won't load the "your thing got sent" page.
and I saw this:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.mail.squirrelmail.user/18292
which DOES exactly explain my problem. but I'm currently running Server 10.3.7. I looked in my SW update history, and did NOT see this partic'lar update. so I looked on apple's site for "<x-tad-bigger>Security Update 2004-05-24</x-tad-bigger>", found it but it states it is for installation on 10.3.3. I d/l it anyway, and when it decompresses, it now says "2004-08-09", not "2004-05-24". dam. okay i'll install it anyway. but I get to the "select your HD screen" and my server drive has the dreaded "Red Exclamation Point of Death" explaining "volume does not meet requirements". am I just utterly screwed? I think an Apple engineer could chime in here...
this is obviously a KNOWN issue....
frankly I'm amazed such a terrible bug is shipping with no obvious solution. i've done my homework.
