Re: 10.3.7 causing poor log in times?

Morning Everyone.

I have just finished building up the new lab image 2005 (yay!) and on the machine it works beautifully!

However, after i use directory access to configure netinfo logins, things get a little interesting.

Upon logging in with a network user account, login time as drastically increased. The dock pops up in a short amount of time however waiting for the HD icon to be displayed on screen is another story, taking up to about 3 minutes or more sometimes.

The image is 10.3.7 and all latest updates have been installed. The Xserve is the same, all latest updates.

Reason i believe this to be something 10.3.7 is because i tried the exact same suite of software but running on a 10.3.6 OS and login times are back to normal. Is there something i can do to help solve this issue? Just hope someone out there has the same problem as i do..

Desperately seeking help..

If you use DHCP service in your lab, try to put search domain in network prefpane of all dhcp client. 10.3.7 seems to be disable to handle search domain info from dhcp packet.
