I'm looking at the docs now. Did you hand crank it or did you use the configure.pl?

Depending on your log format it may just pick it up, but I always define it explicitly.

Is it easy to set up to run on specific virtual hosts?

Either add the vhost to the log format string, or specify separate files for each vhost. If the former you can run grep or a perl script to split the log files.

I seem to have gotten most of the kinks out now. Still getting an odd bit of mischief going on though. If I've got my .conf file set up like so:

LogFile="/var/log/httpd/ts/access_log.%MM-0-%MO-0-%YY-0"

And today's date is 09-Aug-06, and I know for certain that my server's time and date are correctly set then why is it when I run:

awstats.pl -update -config=www.somewebsite.com

I get this:

Error: Couldn't open server log file "/var/log/httpd/ts/access_log.08- Aug-06" : No such file or directory

It shouldn't be looking for 08, it should be looking for 09 shouldn't it?

One other quick question, I ran an update with the -output and - staticlinks options turned on to see what it would do. Looks like if you use staticlinks then you can't see any of the expanded reports. Is that right or is there more to the option that allows output of all the other reports as well.

Thanks for the indulgence,
David
