rid of case sensitivity since my server is case sensitive and my
HFS module is checked.
That would make sense. Apache was developed for case-sensitive
volumes on Unix/Linux.
Apple's default for HFS+ is to create case-insensitive volumes and
therefore turns hfs_apple_module on by default also.
Therefore turning off the module should restore Apache's case-
sensitive nature in your environment which is using a case-sensitive
volume.
You should have stuck with the default!
