okay, what is the utility of this log?

serveradmin fullstatus swupdate | grep startTime say also the same info...

for many times i have trashed the file and touch'ed another but the result is the same

any idea?

We're *IN* the 10.4 days.

SoftwareUpdateServer.log is the log for the SoftwareUpdateServer so it's fitting to find the above information there.

I don't recall ever seeing any other information in that log.
