I just started getting warning messages that the startup disk is almost full.
Where and what can I do to resolve this. It is slowing down the performance.
Thank You,

Check the log folder in the root HD Library. If it is a rouge log the folder will be huge. Delete the appropriate log.

First off, it's ROGUE, the color of the log shouldn't matter.

If it is a rogue log you have to do more than delete the log. I had this happen once on this iBook, 10.3.9. I ended up with an 18Gb log file. I never found out exactly what was causing it but a restart cleared it, then I deleted the log file.

If not a log look at each folder on the drive to see what is taking up the space.

Do you know if this happened all of a sudden or gradually. It being a server it's entirely possible some user uploaded some monster file / folder. I've had that happen and the user had no clue it was a problem.

Remember unless you are logged in as root the individual user folders will not be accessible and therefore the folder space totals won't show what is in them. You can use the du command under sudo to see them though.
