I'm curious as to what shopping cart software people are using with
Tiger Server. We used WebCatalog back when SmithMicro first bought it,
before it was called WebDNA, under WebSTAR 4/Mac OS 9, but we're
looking for something new.
PHP would be our preference, but there are hundreds of solutions. Open
source would be ideal, and real-time authorization would be great.
Any recommendations? Pro or con?
There's nothing special about Mac OS X Server so most all open source
options are available.
Since we don't know your needs and requirements, nor is it
appropriate for us to do your analysis, just google or surf over to
SourceForge and check them out for yourself and find one you like and
meets your needs.
For instance do you want to use MySQL or other databases? Do you
deploy AJAX? Do you already have a payment gateway? Are you looking
for a commercial or open solution?
There's osCOmmerce <http://www.oscommerce.com/>, for example, which
is widely popular. But here again there's nothing "Mac OS X Server"
specific about it.
