Hi, folks. I am trying to train my SpamAssassin, and am encountering
a perlscript error in the process. I can't tell if the training is
working, and/or if this error is worth paying attention to. I also
can't find any sort of log to refer to.
I have run this script four times on four groups of messages, twice
spam, twice ham. In each case, I get this error once. The script
seems to read through roughly all the messages and shortly after the
error, it reports success.
Here is what I got the last two times I ran it (on two mailboxes
which show that they contain 13 messages each... note the message
counts at the end):
mail:~ root# sa-learn --showdots --spam /var/spool/imap/user/
[PathToSpam]/*
.............Use of uninitialized value in pattern match (m//) at /
System/Library/Perl/Extras/5.8.6/Mail/SpamAssassin/Message.pm line 225.
...
Learned from 14 message(s) (16 message(s) examined).
mail:~ root# sa-learn --showdots --ham /var/spool/imap/user/
[PathToHam]/*
.............Use of uninitialized value in pattern match (m//) at /
System/Library/Perl/Extras/5.8.6/Mail/SpamAssassin/Message.pm line 225.
...
Learned from 14 message(s) (16 message(s) examined).
mail:~ root#
So... is this worth even worrying about, and am I training my filter?
Thanks!
