Not sure about that error message, but you'll want to run sa-learn as user
clamav.

>From Apple's script in 10.4 server:

su - clamav -c "sa-learn --spam --no-sync

 etc.

Have a look at the script,
cat /etc/mail/spamassassin/learn_junk_mail
