I've got an xserve running 10.3.9 and MySQL 4 that is restarting
itself every 2-3 days. I don't have any direct access to the
machine (colocated), so unsure if it's a kernel panic or what.
System.log doesn't show anything, nor are there any crash.logs.
Any idea on where I can look next for any further clues as to the
cause of the restarts? I know it's not a hardware problem, as I
swapped the machine over the weekend.
Have you taken a look at the watchdog log? (/Library/Logs/
watchdog.event.log)
