Hello,
As said, I did every thing which was recommended from this group.
I Contacted Apple who advised to switch the problem HD into another
server in which I did.
The server that I put the HD in developed the same problem, and the
one I took it out of worked just fine. So that leaves me to believe
it is a software issue as Apple suggested may have been. To
continue support with apple will cost me a arm and leg so I will
through out here what I have discovered before I go back to them.
I started to monitor the server with the Activity Monitor and
noticed that under "Disk Activity" that the Data out constantly
climbs until it reached 148.11 GB and then I got the Startup disk
almost full.
What is this Data out?
This is data that some process is writing to the hard drive.
Your investigation appears to have shown that _something_ is almost
continually writing data to the disk until it fills up. The next step
is to find out what's doing it, and why.
It doesn't sound like you ever actually figured out what was taking
up all the space. I think there were suggestions as to applications
you could download the would help you figure these things out. Search
versiontracker.com for things like "disk space" to find your own.
Once you figure out exactly what's used up all the space, you can
determine how to fix it.
