You just answered that question. They're not going to read the docs until
the button mashing doesn't work the way they think it should.

That's not true. We've just had someone on the list explain that they would like at least some type of dialog that lets them know how things interact together. I'm not speaking of some outlandish concepts. These are improvements that others have indicated they would like to see.


Um, the females are *just* as guilty.

Regrettably, there's not really enough of a female presence on this list. Which is kinda to all of our disadvantage.


You're still not getting that showing the commands the button runs will do
nothing to teach concepts.

You're not getting the fact that giving people information in the interface itself will make a difference -- and we don't even need to frame it in terms of someone who doesn't know the service. I can configure DNS just fine, but would love to have a context related panel pop out from the DNS component on Server Admin for those times when I need to check something. Newbies would find it even more useful.


you mean like the help menu?

The current help menu involves searching through several panes before getting at the information. Having context specific information appear *next to the components* would be useful for the people who want such a thing.
