Re: Mac OS X Internals Book

I can figure most things out, but knowing how everything is interrelated is sometimes beyond my current level of knowledge/ ability to understand. It's not a unwillingness to learn or read the documentation, it's simply my company doesn't have the ability to send me to the proper training because we don't need a full time IT person and we don't make alot of changes.

This is the core of what I'm getting at. Some folks are in a situation where they need a little push with with Mac OS X Server and perhaps administration in general. An improved GUI and extra features in Server Admin could provide at least some modicum of instructional value. At least, according to the people in said position.

Ironically, the folks who complain about simple posts on this list are the same people complaining about providing a solution to simple questions through the interface.

To solve this argument between John and I, why not view it this way: Those who wish to have added instructional features to Mac OSX Server, work with each other and Apple on achieving such a thing. Those who don't.... well, do something else.
