We do not do any sales and have built our business the same way.  We thought
about hiring a sales team, but didn't want people trying to get us to fix
their Quadra CommuniGator mail server from being an Open Relay (you know you
set one up back in the day) for $10/hour...

I started at $13.00 an hour and now command $150 without issue for on call service. And $100 at my place of business. :-) Aspen has pretty high prices in most regards. In the city I believe $75 to $100 would be more appropriate for on call.

Funny on this particular issue, I did not. I had a client hire me to do just that with an open relay on a CommuniGator mail server. I refused the job, billed my minimum, was paid and never heard from them again. They are out of business now. Sometimes you gotta just say no. I suggested Eudora mail server and they laughed. I used it until about 4 years ago.
