Universal 10.4.7 on Intel - Samba won't auth to AD

Hi all,

Has anybody attempted to join a 10.4.7 server running on an Intel box to a W2k3 Active Directory? I had a problem at a client last week which i've just replicated at the office. On a PPC box, i can install 10.4.7UB, join an AD domain, click the 'kerberize' button in Server Admin:Open Directory:Settings, and start SMB. I can then happily connect as a domain user with a valid ticket.

If I do exactly the same thing on an intel mac, connecting over SMB as an AD user fails, with or without an existing kerb ticket. log.smbd says 'Failed to verify incoming ticket'.

If I use 'net ads join' to add the samba server to the domain, i can connect happily, but of course i then have no other services kerberized.

If i take the successful PPC install and use asr to clone it to the intel machine, samba starts, but never reaches the point where it's listening for connections.

Just looking for confirmation of this.
