This might be an easy questions but I have't been able to find an
simple solution. I've searched the apple website and can't seem to
find the information that I am looking for. Is there a easy way of
determing the version numbers
for software installed on a OS X 10.4.7 Server?
Which software?
I am hoping that
there is a way I can get a summary of this information rather then
having to determine the version of each piece of software
individually. Is there a list a compiled list of the software with
version numbers that is installed by default for OS X 10.4.7?
Realize each user can have there own sw installed. What about
software installed on other volumes or remote systems?
I can
use that along with the updates that we've done to software on the
system. Thanks for you time.
Have you looked at System Profiler (aka system_profiler)?
However what you're really asking includes a lot of woolly thinking
since "software" can be just about any binary -- or script --
anywhere.
