Is DHCP server enabled on the Xserve? (The hopeful answer should be
yes, so that this situation is easy to resolve.) There should be
absolutely no reason adding a node to an existing network should cause
the network to go kaplowey.
Can you further elaborate on what issues you're having with the client machines?
