Here is where your error happens. Try to execute the command ' /usr/
sbin/slapcat -l /var/db/openldap/openldap-data/backup.ldif' on your
Master server and checkl for error messages. That might give you
some more hints.

There is / was a bug in Tiger that caused slapcat to crash in exactly
this way if SSL is enabled for ldap. I was affected by this at my last
job, and it's fully reproducible. The consequences of this bug are
serious...
