Just configuring a new Intel Xserve, and am having fun with Server
Admin's DNS interface. I'm used to Webmin (under Panther Server), and
I can't believe how minimal the Server Admin DNS interface is.
Something I've noticed is that it's creating PTR records. It
shouldn't
be, should it, since we aren't authoritative for the Class C that
we're on?
Are people actually using this interface? Or are you mostly hand-
editing DNS?
well I also never got it really straight with Server Admin.
I use the dns only as internal dns, because the dns of my provider
can't
be used, because my connection doesn't allow it.
Also I meanwhile learned this is an unappreciated praxis.
so what did I do?
After messing around with the files, I went the easy road and used DNS
Enabler.
It's a nice little piece of software worth the 15 bugs. You can
