Just a datapoint: Dokuwiki (http://wiki.splitbrain.org/
wiki:dokuwiki) works fine on OS X Server 10.4. Its an actively
developed wiki oriented toward documentation (though people use it
for all sorts of things). It doesn't use a backend database (a big
plus in my book), just flat files. We've been really happy with it
We run DokuWiki as well and I couldn't be more pleased with it.
It does LDAP authentication, and is really easy to configure to use
Open Directory users and groups.
As you say, it doesn't use a database, which makes it very simple to
get going, and means that your documentation is still reasonably
readable if you only have the flat files in front of you...
