Fibre Channel LAN

Hey folks,

Scenario: Xserve, Xserve RAID with only one RAID controller used, fibre channel switch, and workstations with fibre cards.

Since only one RAID controller is used, only one of the Xserve's FC ports will be needed to connect to it.  That leaves one FC port free on the Xserve's FC card.

Can we connect that remaining FC port to the fibre switch, connect the workstations to the fibre switch too, and create an IP LAN over fibre channel?  Obviously this would be much sweeter than a Gigabit-E LAN.

I did some Googling on this and found info about iFCP and FCIP but nothing related to Mac-specific implementations.

As some of us say in California: Rock on!
