IPFailover on Intel Xserves

Hi guys,

I'm resending this one because I never did see it getting to the list.

Hi,

I'm trying to set up 2 new Intel Xserves to do IPFailover. I added the variables needed to /etc/hostconfig.

The problem I have is that the backup server never releases the primary server IP address.

If I start up the primary server first, then start up the secondary server and then plug the private network cable (as indicated in the docs) the secondary server takes the public IP address of the primary and I start getting "address already in use" in both servers.

I did the same configuration with a G5 and a G4 Xserve and all is good.

So the question is, is anyone using IPFailover in Intel xserves?

Thanks
Agustin
