No, but I'd like to, I have exactly the same issue as you.

One noticable thing is that on the secondary server failoverd is started
with this :

failoverd private.ip.of.server1 en0

when the manpage stands it should be :

failoverd private.ip.of.server1 en0:public.ip.of.server1

If you still have a working failover on PPC servers, can you check on
the failover one to see if you see the same as on Intel servers or if
the command is complete ?
