OSX Mount

Howdy:

I have an ageless B&W G3 Tower running OSX Server v.1.0 ( partitioned in UFS and OS9 disk formats ) that I'm finally moving on to better things and have somehow lost the ability to get to the main partition for some data I would like to recover.

In trying to access the main OSX 1.0 partition I created another OSX Server 1.0 partition but that doesn't seem to mount the first partition ( or at least I don't know how to get it to mount - my, how OSX has changed since then ).

Nor can I figure out how to get it to boot off the main partition - holding down the option key only seems to bring up OS9, and it stays there ( that's how I lost Server access originally ).

Using OSX 10.4's Disk utility I can see the two UFS partitions grayed out but have been unable to get a proper mount command if the G3 is attached to a 10.4 Mac via FireWire ( all tries either do nothing - or at least I don't see the partition on the Desktop - or return a cmd. options list ). I can, however see the OS9 partitions on the Desktop.

Any suggestions or help in getting the main partition booted, or that partition mounted would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time and help in this matter.

Glenn
