2. or is LUN masking available through other tools or is it hidden in some other menu now? (I haven't been able to find it)

It indeed appears removed completely from RAID Admin, which is unfortunate. Customers who rely on LUN masking apparently need to stay with RAID Admin and associated firmware 1.5 (I don't know if newer firmware would still work with an earlier version of the RAID Admin tool - you'd think it would have to, for people already using it).
