Well this is an issue addressed by your security policy.

how these different services are sandboxed, I figured I would pose the
question here.  Is there any reason to be concerned about this, or would
they coexist fine?

They do co-exist fine, and services would normally be handled at your gateway and/or with ipfw.


But you're really asking about a policy question, not a technical one.
