IN response to the many posts asking why I am saying it doesn't
read this file;
I've added Protocol 1 to the file and rebooted (not just the daemon
but the machine) and it has not taken it. Thus I can only assume
it is ignoring the file or this section of it.
then MacOSX 10.4 Server is configured differently from 10.4 Client.
There sshd is started on demand and picks up changes in /etc/
sshd_config immediately. Also, the config file and the man page
explicitly say that the protocols accepted by default are 1 and 2.
Sorry to ask, but how did you check that the machine does not accept
protocol 1?
