I'm having some erratic problems with clients losing permissions for server
share points.

My set-up is that clients on the LAN mount share points at start- up (via a
"Logon Item" that opens an alias to the share point).

Initially, everything is fine; however, at some point, the permissions for
the mounted share point go astray. The client can neither read for write to
the share point.

I am having the same symptoms with a slightly different configuration.

Me too!

G5 XServe running 10.3.8, sharepoint is on a non-boot RAID, recently fsck'd and permissions repaired on boot volume.
Clients are G4s running 10.3.9

It only happens to the clients connected to this one sharepoint that is restricted to a certain group, eg. drwxrw--- (other sharepoints that allow read-write to all users have not shown the problem).
