Thread-topic: rsync backup - lost file type (final cut pro files)
Hi,
I am backing up 2 TB of data onto a a Lacie Drive from an Xserve Xraid.
Backup seems to work with no problem. However, once the files are
transferred over to the LaCie, the file types are lost (most of these
are final cut pro files). So I am unable to open the files directly
from the Lacie. If I move them back to the xserve, they are still not
associated with final cut pro. I get a wrong file type error message.
I am however able to open the files in quicktime so the files don't seem
be corrupt.
I know this is probably not a common problem, just wondering if anyone
has any ideas.
