We are looking at building some websites (our own and possibly hosting others) on our Xserves and it got me to wondering about a couple of things.

How others are going about it on their systems - are you rolling your own (built from scratch) or are you using a bundled package like MAMP?

We certainly have the capacity (we have a few extra Xserves that aren't being utilized at the moment) and thought this would be a good place to start.

I know the question is rather vague, which is somewhat on purpose as I'm hoping to cast a pretty wide net to see what's out there. I'd be interested in hearing from those who are doing this if you've got the time to share.
