Re: Portable home directory: problem with mail

Hi Peter

I have a problem with syncronizing mail via portable home directory to the server. If i include ~/Library/mail in the login/logout- sync, the login/logout process takes far above 5 minutes for my 1,31 GB. Is this a normal behavior?

The main question is: What is inside ~/Library/Mail ?
IMAP, .Mac (not so easily compared, because I believe it depends on SyncServices, which you should avoid like a "swarm of bees": http:// docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301920) or only POP?

I stick with simply believing there's a reason, ~/Library/Mail is skipped by default, and testing in which cases it works (read: I DO backup) for myself. That said, syncing ~/Library/Mail/POP- email@hidden (and whatever else you need exactly to run Mail.app) is quite fast.

Gregor
