Re: launchd: process: respawning too quickly! throttling

I've had this happen when I turn on the options to run daemonized, or as a background thread. I'm not sure if this is your situation but you might look in to it.

When launchd execs your process it wants to keep control of your process so it knows when to restart it if your process dies. If your process run as a daemon, launchd thinks you died so it tries to relaunch you.

Hope this helps...

What would cause a launchd-initiated process to respawn too quickly? My system.log is receiving lots of:

Mar 29 09:59:59 GWhiz launchd: Log-notify: will restart in 10 seconds

Log-notify is a script of my own. The obvious thought is that I've made an error in the script, but what sort of error would cause respawning too quickly?
