When Mr. Jobs was showing off the iPhone he used something which was obviously a web-based view into the same information I'm looking at in the 'Directory' application. Does anyone know how and where to enable this ?

That was a hacked up demonstration of how businesses could use the iPhone's web browser to deliver applications that they needed. It was not presented as a product.

However, since it was simply a web app that accessed a LDAP store, and the Directory application is just a front-end on a LDAP store, you could hack this up in PHP (which has a LDAP module) without too much work.
