Title: Mounted volume restarts Finder

I have a mounted volume on my Desktop. When I double-click on the volume, the screen blinks......as if it seems to restart my Finder. The volume never opens, thus I can’t access any files. I have other volumes mounted the appear to work fine. Any ideas what could be causing this....and, more importantly, how to remedy it ? Thanks.
