| Hey guys Does anyone know if the procedure for creating an OD Master in an existing AD environment is still (basically) the same as it was in Tiger? I have had success with Mike Bombich's "Leveraging Active Directory on Mac OS X" admin guide in the past on Tiger servers (very handy - thanks Mike), but it has not been updated for Leopard yet. I'm most concerned with the process of deleting the local KDC on the Leopard OD master so it doesn't conflict with the existing AD KDC. Specifically, I wanted to know if the following steps are still required in Leopard server for AD/OD integration ( From page VII-25 of Mike's guide): sudo sso_util remove -k -a <diradmin> -p <password> dscl -u <diradmin> /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 - delete /Config/KerberosKDC dscl -u <diradmin> /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 -delete /Config/KerberosClient I tried the commands once on a test Leopard server (final ADC beta) and it appeared to me that the /Config/KerberosKDC and KerberosClient records didnt exisit, and thus may not need to be deleted(?) Can someone verify please? Also, for those of you familiar with the "Magic Triangle", do you plan on utilizing this paradigm in Leopard Server, or will you abandon it for the newer "Cylindar of Destiny" paradigm using Leopard's new augmented records (which I admittedly dont known anything about outside of Joel's sneak-peek at WWDC) TIA -D |
