Were wanting to upgrade our OD master to 10.5 and i had a few thoughts on how to do it.
With 10.5 were gonna start from scratch with an erase and install at the end.
So one option would be to archive the tiger ODM. Then erase and install 10.5 and restore the OD archive.
Or
One would be to just run a plain old upgrade to 10.5 on our tiger ODM, archive it once at 10.5, erase/install/restore OD from archive.
I guess the reason I'm asking is i don't know if 10.5 has some extended schema, or a new version of berkley DB that would ball things up by just unarchiving a 10.4 Archive directly into a 10.5 server.
Thanks, James
It's all covered in the migration guide in detail.
