Completely off topic question but looking for someone who knows about vista...

Hi Everyone,

As the topic states, this is off topic and I apologize for wasting the groups time with this but I can't seem to find an answer.

I have a customer that has windows vista and is trying to send me a mailing list... All she has been able to tell me is that it's "In windows vista"... So she doesn't know much about computers... the file I get has the extension .chr and when I search for it on the net, all I seem to find is references to ascii characters...

I can open the .chr file in text edit, and it looks like it's a mail merge letter with addresses in it, but I haven't found an easy way of grabbing it out YET :)

That's where I hope you all can come in... Has anyone experienced this? Ideally, I need to end up with it in an excel file but even if I can get delimited text, I can use MySQL or Excel to parse it.

Since this is off topic, please feel free to e-mail me directly... And if people are curious I can post a summary to the list.

Thanks for reading!
