Issues: Samba based PDC via Leopard

Has anyone had success running a Samba based PDC via Leopard?

I've been experimenting with Leopard Server via a designated test server. So far I've been having a few issues, particularly with Windows clients. I'm able to bind the Windows box to the domain, as the computer object is created, however I'm not able to log in, as Windows client suggests the computers (not accounts) password is incorrect. Enabling "Allow Guest Access" lets me right in, however group permissions seem to be M.I.A., meaning even if I add the OD user to the local admin group, admin privileges are not provided.

Log excerpts and general details are available via:

Although this particular link has been labeled "solved", I believe this status was issued prematurely, as it's pretty obvious why the suggested solution appeared to work, while this is in fact incorrect.

Interesting... I also just found this post, which seems like it could be related. I'll need to investigate further.
