Admin Tools and signed certificate

Hello,

I am using:

XServer Duel Core Intel Xeon
Mac OS X Server 10.4.10
Server Admin Tools 10.4.7
Keychain Access Version 3.3.2

I am trying to configuring OS X Server to use a Thwate Premium Server CA certificate. I am having trouble getting Server Admin tools to acknowledge the security certificate. Keychain access says that the certificate, the public and private keys are present in the System keychain. Keychain access says that the certificate is valid. In / etc/certificates there are four files hostname.chcrt, hostname.crt, hostname.csr, hostname.key.

I have tried getting Server Admin to use the cert by clicking on 'Import' and providing the pathname to the .crt and .key files. I have also tried click on '+' then providing all of the details and cutting and pasting the cert. Neither of these routes has worked. I can't find much in the logs that would indicate anything is going on.

The only other relevant piece of information I can think of is that the certificate is issued for a DNS alias for the machine.

Is there anything that you folks might be able to suggest? Is there any information that I might be

Jeff
